Fast Forward Twelve Hours
Just a little more than 12 hours after surgery, Zack is in the ICU resting comfortably. He continues to complain of thirst, which is normal, and is demanding ginger ale instead of the two to three ice chips he is allowed every 10 minutes.
Looking at him, it is difficult to believe that his heart was stopped for a time today for some much needed repair work.
We continue to be amazed by his progress.
Hard to believe it, but we even got a good smile out of him this afternoon. I'm sure more will come our way tomorrow.

All the Scivally's in Orlando want to know when Zack and family are coming to visit the Mouse House?

Zach, remember us? We met you and your Mom at the "It's My Heart" pool party recently. Our 2 year old daughter Samantha had her heart surgery in March with Dr. Fox. I am extremely happy to hear that you are having a smooth recovery. You are in good hands. Thank your parents for this awesome blog.

Hi Zach,
I heard about you through the prayer request list from the First Baptist Church in Round Rock. I also learned of your website from Judy in our office. I asked Jesus to be near to you, to make you well and to give peace to your Mom and Dad. I have been very inspired by your story.
You are a very courageous young man and I know you will be out of the hospital very soon.
My grandson's name is Zach, too. He will be 6 years old tomorrow, June 10.

Zack - You are such a tough kid! Look how well you are already doing! We are so excited to see you smile! Hello and good morning Zack. It appears to me you are doing your part and you'll be back to being a great little boy. Keep being all boy as long as you can. It will keep your grandmother and your mother forever young. Sheryl and I sure have been praying and thinking of you on a pretty regular basis. You have a good day and keep your powder dry.
